Description
Roast level= Medium-Dark
Our Nicaragua La Fortuna SHG EP represents the heart of high-elevation Central American coffee — clean, structured, and naturally sweet.
Grown in the regions of San Juan del Río Coco and Jalapa, this coffee comes from farms situated between 1,200 and 1,400 meters above sea level, where cooler mountain climates allow cherries to mature slowly. That slow development produces denser beans and refined flavor complexity in the cup.
The SHG (Strictly High Grown) designation ensures the coffee was cultivated at high elevation for enhanced quality and density. The EP (European Preparation) grading adds an extra level of sorting to remove defects, ensuring only carefully selected green beans are exported.
This washed, patio-dried lot highlights Nicaragua’s classic profile — balanced acidity, soft nuttiness, and natural sweetness.
In the cup, expect:
-
Smooth almond undertones
-
Crisp green apple brightness
-
Gentle raw honey sweetness
-
Clean, balanced finish
Roasted to a balanced medium profile, this coffee delivers consistency, clarity, and approachability — perfect for drip, pour-over, or espresso.
A dependable single origin that’s easy to love and even easier to brew daily.
